I've just joined the community and see that some others are experiencing the same problems we have. When we watch a recording the picture will freeze and/or pixellate and then jump about missing out chunks of the programme. If I have set a series link but we happen to be able to watch the programme live the same thing will happen.
The speed with which our TiVo box responds to the remote control also varies with there being no perceptible link or cause, e.g. time of day, whether programmes are being recorded etc.
That sounds as if you have signal issues which will need a tech visit.
What did the Faults team say when you talked to them about the issue?
