Programs jump ahead 30+ Minutes

If I have paused a program or am watching a recording it more often than not jumps ahead quite a way. Does anyone else have this issue or know how to rectify it? If happened on my old box and now in a new one after I moved house. Any ideas?

Could the   |   button have been pressed?   That does jump ahead 30 minutes

Re: Programs jump ahead 30+ Minutes

The only other thing it could be is where the pause reaches 60 minutes which I think is the maximum.

Re: Programs jump ahead 30+ Minutes

Yea but it's actually playing when it jumps forward not paused. So it's playing back a recording of live tv after we've resumed it. Thanks.

Re: Programs jump ahead 30+ Minutes

I am guessing that once the pause times out it goes to the channel you have been recording from.

So if you are watching a programme recorded from bbc 1, you pause it and then the pause times out (after 60minutes or so) then it goes on to bbc 1 as it is being broadcast at that time -hence you're seeing it jump forward to the live broadcast.

That would be my only explanation.

If in doubt I suggest you call 150, see if they can explain it, if not then see if an engineer can look at your box.

Re: Programs jump ahead 30+ Minutes

If I pause it for 20 minutes then resume it myself it will jump forward 20 minutes to real time after watching it for a short while. No buttons pressed. Lots of recording space left. Thanks for reply.

Re: Programs jump ahead 30+ Minutes

One final thought on this from me:

Do you press the play or stop button when resuming from pause?

If you press stop (the square) it will go to live, if you press play (the >) it should properly resume.

As I say 150 or an engineer may be the best to help here.

Good luck!!
