Problems with waking up

Hi, can anyone please help?
I have had a TiVo box for 6 months now and when I turn it on from stand by, I get the info bar and the home screen but no picture or sound. It works when I turn the TV off and on again or I turn the TiVo box off and on again but it is really annoying. I have tried all sorts to fix it but to no avail . I phoned Virgin but they were quite dismissive saying that my TV wasn't communicating but i never had this problem with a free view box and with a sky box on the same TV - the TV is a Sony Bravia.
Thanks

Re: Problems with waking up

Sounds like a HDCP issue as the OSD is working. The TiVo is vary strict when it comes to HDCP.

200Mb(SH2 SH2AC Hub 3.0), 2 X V6 TV XL, Phone M. 100Mb Business (Hitron Hub).

Re: Problems with waking up

Hi Christopher4124,

Welcome to the Forums Smiley Happy  I'm sorry to hear a picture isn't present when you take the box out of standby.

I'll be happy to take a look at this for you, I have connected to your box remotely and currently signal levels are looking great.  Is the HDMI lead plugged in securely?  If you can let me know I can help further.

Keep me posted, I'm here to help/

Re: Problems with waking up

Thanks for responding. Is there anything I can do about it or do I just have to put up with it?

Hi Christopher4124,

Thanks for your reply. Smiley Happy

If possible, an you please try a different HDMI lead?  Hopefully this will help. Please give me a shout if it doesn't and we can look into this some more.

Thanks for your patience.

Re: Problems with waking up

Hi Colette,
I have tried my old sky hdmi lead but still the same- the other person that relied must be correct as when I do not have a picture and go into settings / system info- it says HDCP not enabled but when I have a picture it says it is enabled
I am looking to see if I can change settings on TV
Thanks

Re: Problems with waking up

I'm afraid I had no joy
I think it's because we turn our TV off rather than leaving it on stand by , therefore it has to 'hand shake' with the TiVo box every time we turn it on
I may have to put up with it for the time being.
