Pin Protection

I have turned off my Pin Protection, no kids in the house, but it still demands it for programmes shown after 9 P.M. Have I got this wrong what Pin Protection is trying to do?.

Re: Pin Protection

Hey Tinsoldier27,

Thank you for your post back to us, you're on the right path here and it does come down to some content has to be pin activated. With the parental settings turned off, the majority of content will not ask for a pin.

Please stay in touch and thank you for your time Smiley Happy

Re: Pin Protection

Hello tinsoldier27,

Welcome to the community Smiley Happy

I have been able to locate your account and can I just check which box this happening on?

And is it just On Demand or Recordings too?

With some On Demand content it will ask for a pin regardless if you have the setting turned off as the pin is then triggered by the information provided by the program.

Here if where you will find all the settings for the pin.

TiVo boxes - Home >Help & Settings>Purchase Controls

VBOX, VHD, V+HD boxes - Home>Settings

I hope this helps.

Kind regards

Rose

Re: Pin Protection

It is happening with On Demand though I have since read that there maybe some legal requirement to do so. Not a major problem but anyway thanks for the reply.
