Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your sound.
It sounds silly but the first check you need to do is make sure the volume isn't muted. Just try turning the volume up a bit on both the Virgin Media and TV remote controls.
Once you've checked that we can move onto the cable connections. Locate the HDMI lead in the back of the Virgin Media box, unplug it then plug it back in. This reseats the HDMI lead and makes sure the TV and Virgin Media box are communicating with each other properly.
Does the sound work if you try playing a DVD/ games console through the TV?
