New Win 10 ISO download makes TV anywhere think its a device change

Why does TV Anywhere think its a device change each time new Win 10 ISO is installed?

because it's a different OS how would it know it was the same PC

It'd got nothing whatsoever to do with operating system, your IP address is probably changing , that will be enough to make it think it's a new device

Well it counts a different browser as a new device so it's nothing to do with the IP address and that can change anytime

Thanks for taking part in the discussion Smiley Happy It's great to have you here. 

 

I'd like to point out that the ip address changing wouldn't cause the app to think you're using another device. 

 

As dannylau pointed out, the ip address can change as we only offer dynamic ip addresses. 

 

Customers are able to use their device as long as they are connected to any wifi network. When connecting to different, the ip address would change and you wouldn't be prompted to re register. 

 

The change in OS is to blame here.
