I got my new tvio box yesterday. I been using the vurgin broadband for sometime. Installing was easy and I added the splitter between the main connection , broadband router and the tvio. Broadband router started working. Tvio was not able to get IP address. I called virgin to get it activated. They told me too switch off and on. After that it got the IP address and continued for software installation.
In software installation it stuck in Connection with status message of Negotiating. It fails there after 10 minutes. Rebooted multiple times but it's same issue.
Called virgin. The support team really fed up with these tvio issues and easily get mad. Even they try to tell you that your setup is wrong.
Finally they told me the box is faulty and will send an engineer.
here is the widget solution I got and fixed my issue:
Turn off the TiVo box via the switch on the back, hold down : ‘TV’ ‘Channel Down’ & ‘Record’ buttons on the front panel of the box (not the remote).
Whilst keeping the buttons pressed in, switch the power back on, keep the buttons pressed for 5 seconds after you’ve switched the box back on (after 5 seconds, a blue LED should light up on the far right hand side of the box, this means you can let go of the buttons). The box should boot up normally after around 15 minutes
