New Tivo box - totally useless

I received a new Tivo box yesterday, and set it up today as per instructions.  I was reliably informed by the woman on the support line that it had been registered, but we have since lost the network connection on the box (so cannot access any on demand services), and lost all channel access three times this evening alone.

Utter, utter rubbish!  It was bad enough to lose all the recordings and settings from the previous Tivo box, but now to have a box that doesn't even work properly is a complete waste of my time and effort.
