Re: Network Storage

I believe I'm correct in saying no. You can only record from TiVo onto a DVDs in real time using a dvd player.

Someone else may may hiwever know more than me 😀

Re: Network Storage

The purpose of TiVo is to allow you to time-shift your watching of programs, not to allow you to create an archive of programs for which you don't have the copyright (and that you will never have time to watch).

well if your saying that Tivo is not to record then, and if recording is against the law then Virgin are breaking the law by letting you do this!

Re: Network Storage

You have misunderstood what I have said.

TiVo is for recording and is absolutely legal (as you know).

TiVo already has a large recording capacity, sufficient for recording enough programs for you to watch at a time convenient to you.

Adding extra storage capacity will only allow you to keep programs that you will never have time to watch.
