Netflix useable !!

Hi,

Is anybody else using Netflix through TiVo ? It is becoming useable as the response is terrible. I pressed stop before and it took 1 min to actually stop !

It takes at least 2 mins to start up every time and then the response when using is really not acceptable.

Does anyone else have this issue ? Can anything be done ? How can Virgin offer this as a service and expect customers to be happy with this ?

Thank you for taking the time to write to the Community for the first time, welcome in Smiley Happy

 

I'm very sorry to learn about the Netflix not working in the timely fashion, this is something I've been looking at and as far as I can see, there's a few issues on the TV that would need some attention.

Hi Ben,

The engineer arrived but did not do anything, he said he tested the connections and all was fine.

So the problem still exists and Netflix is incredibly slow, is this just a feature of all Virgin boxes ?

I'm sorry to hear that the engineer wasn't able to resolve this Netflix slow issue for you.

 

I'd like to check this further with you if that's ok?

 

* Will the same or similar thing happen when using other Apps like BBC iPlayer/YouTube?

 

* If so, do you find it happens at certain times of the day, all the time or just random times?

Hi Colette,

It's just the whole user interface that appears slow, so yes all the apps are also slow.

Flicking between channels is fine, but all other features are slow.

I have carried out some checks with the box and network remotely and all looks fine currently with the signal/power levels.  

 

Will the speed improve if you carry out a reboot by powering off/on again?
