Not really. It just shows that it's intermittent. It happens to me too, but there's no noticeable pattern to it. It'll get stuck on 25% then you stop it and play it again and it'll play fine.
Exactly. The fix is as simple as that really.
When something gets stuck at a certain % it's typically a timeout. The easiest remedy for a timeout is to end and re-establish communications (like you said stop and start). It's not difficult at all to implement a timeout fix.
Netflix has nothing to do with the standard of the VM TiVo Netflix app so I'd estimate it will take at least 1 year for this to be bought to the relevant team/person at VM's attention, and then anywhere between 3-5 years to implement some kind of timeout recovery algorithm if TiVo is still around.
True but its not the app that is the problem, hence why I and many others do not have this issue. My Netflix via Tivo always works perfectly and yet it is the same app that I run as people having the 25% issue. The reason for the 25% is a time out in connection due to the Virgin Infrastructure.
I didn't say Virgin Media make a Netflix app. If they did it probably wouldn't work at all.
I said "Netflix has nothing to do with the standard of the VM TiVo Netflix app". Its down to VM to ensure it actually works, and to notify the vendor of basic issues like timeout recovery algorithms which are as old as the internet if not older.
Netflix apps are available on many platforms. Eg. on PS3/4 they have Netflix but Netflix has absolutely no concern with the design of the PS3/4.
