Netflix freezing at 25% buffering

For the past month Netflix has been freezing during any program and then buffering to 25% before stopping completely.

I have tested my connection, restarted my TiVo box and signed in and out of Netflix but nothing is working.

This is getting very frustrating!

Is anyone experiencing similar issues, is there anything I can do to stop this happening?

I've tried searching the forums before posting, looks like the issue has been going on a long time with no fix? That's why I posted here to see if there was any more up to date info...

One message said Virgin are working on a fix scheduled for August - not ideal! Guess I'll be watching on my tablet til then.

There are lots of threads about this one - and to re-confirm:

 

1: I have this problem occasionally too  - but only on my PS3

2: BT TV customers also report this issue

 

As that it three different platforms - it would seem to be a Netflix issue - and they provide the apps

that fail at 25% is when a netflix app checks for a valid DNS/ country combo. it should not be happening on tivo, or on a PS3 with default internet settings

 

it is part of their crack down on using VPNs to e.g. watch netflix USA content from UK

I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the forums and say that I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue when watching Netflix.

 

We are aware that some customers are getting this error and are working with TiVo® on a fix which will be deployed in a software update. I don't  have any details on when this update will be rolled out to the TiVo® boxes.
