My Tivo box seems to take an age to respond - especially when switching between menu options or just changing channels. I've tried re-setting it but it's still painfully slow. Any ideas of what i can do?
I have the same problem. Especially like you say switching between menu options to the point where we get a black screen for a while. its quite frustrating. Will be checking out the replies you receive. So glad its not just us. Thanks for posting
My TiVo is very slow since the update. Takes upwards of 30 seconds to play a recording. Also takes tens of seconds to navigate menus and up to a minute to go into apps. Rebooted many times to no avail.

I am sorry that the TiVo seems slow at times, I would really be interested in finding out what times of day this is happening if any and that are you seeing this then the box is recording or viewing live TV?
It is the same regardless of day or recording status.
The worse problem is basically going into and playing anything from now showing and also any menus that are picture in picture (either live tv of recording playing). However going to many of the menu options are slow and apps are a nightmare. This is since the Tivo software upgrade and not before.
For further information I do not have suggestions set and no thumbs set either.
