Lip Sync

Watching Sky Sports HD and voice and sound out of sync. No other devices attached. Any fixes?

Box connected directly to the TV, not through an amp?

Welcome to the Community Forum and thanks for your post. I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing a problem with your Sky Sports HD channel audio not being in sync.

I've been able to run remote tests to your equipment and everything looks good.

Is this working for you now?

Hi Terri

It appears to be an intermittent issue and it has been ongoing for a number of months. Is most noticeable when the pundits are talking at half time and they're not in sync.

Seeing as numerous Virgin Media users are getting the lip sync problem, and have been for months, don't you think that your suggestion that everyone has a dodgy HDMI cable is a bit lame?

What's the real answer or don't Virgin know yet?

Channel 278. Consistently poor lip sync.
Virgin have mentioned before that the higher channel numbers have more likelihood of an issue. This rings true as 101, 108, 110 etc never pose a problem for me.
There is no correlation between HD and SD and it matters not whether I am connected direct to TV or to an AV Amp. In my case, I have 2 TiVo boxes. 1 connected to AV on TV#1 and 1 direct to TV#2
