about an hour a go we have a strike of lighting which seemed to be very close to us. we heard a "clack" sound from out the area of our box and a feint smell of burning.
we were watching stream content from a network so did not see an issue till finished that show.
now I can only get what i would describe as heavily obscured by static out put from the tivo box.
i have a used 3 different HDMI cables, I have tested the HDMI cables with our PS4 and the TV and PS4 work on each input and HDMI cable.
I have tried on two different tvs and neither can display any picture.
I have tried reseting the box by off/on for a couple of minutes, same outcome
I have tried holding down the power button, same out come

just called customer services and i was informed they will monitor my box for 48 hours from their end.
pretty sure this is a useless approach...
If you have a Scart connection on the TV, & an old Scart lead, you may be able to use this temporarily.

it is, get back on the phone and request an engineer - I had this last year, the Scart should get you back up and running - start watching any backlog as this will require a box swap out.
