Issues connecting TiVO via Ethernet cable to hub

Hi - I don't have a TV so am trying to connect TiVo box to hub via ethernet cable but having trouble. Can someone point me to a user guide or something to get this sorted.

Thank you.

Re: Issues connecting TiVO via Ethernet cable to hub

Okay - sorry I wasn't clear enough.

Virgin told me that I didn't have to have a TV to use TiVO and I could connect my TiVo box to the Virgin Hub (white box) via an ethernet cable. I can then access Virgin TV via the TV Anywhere app.

I was hoping that there was a user guide somewhere online to help me run through the set up process.

Hope this is clearer, if not, please let me know what information you need to help....or if you know of a user guide someone just point me in that direction.

Thank you.

Re: Issues connecting TiVO via Ethernet cable to hub

The Tv anywhere app works even if the tivo is not connected to the hub however the it's restricted in what you can watch and only certain channels are available. all the connecting the tivo to the ethernet hub does is let you stream some recorded shows between two tivo and use the app as a remote control

You cannot watch recorded shows by connecting the box to the ethernet cable nor is doing this an acceptable replacement for a TV

Re: Issues connecting TiVO via Ethernet cable to hub

Hi there RachelD115,

Many thanks for your query.

Your TiVo® would need to be activated to utilise our TV Anywhere service and I can see that this is not yet the case.

You may need to locate a television temporarily in order to activate your TiVo®.

Many thanks,

Nat_J
