Hub 3.0

Hi I am being prompted by Virgin to install the free Hub 3.0 upgrade and they state that my old kit will stop working by April 30th.

My question is - will this affect all of the recorded programmes that I have stored on my TIVO box - in other words will the installation wipe them off or are the two completely unconnected?

No need to worry.

Your TiVo won't be affected by you installing Hub 3.0 to provide your broadband.

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums Smiley Happy 

 

It is great having you here with us in the Community. 

 

As mentioned by Ernie_C, your recordings wont be affected by an installation of a new hub. It would only affect you if you were swapping your TV box. 

 

What may be affected is the Home Mode on TV Anywhere if you have this set up. Make sure when you install the new hub, once it's all set up and running you do a full system reboot. 

 

Turn the hub and the TiVo® off at the mains. Turn the hub back on and wait for it to be online then turn the TiVo® back on. This will ensure any handshakes are made successfully.
