Hi..I have a Phillips htb3520 home cinema. Which has an optical port and one hdmi port. My Panasonic tv has an optical port and 2 hdmi ports (1 arc?).... I currently have tivo -hdmi -tv Cinema -hdmi to tv And optical from tivo to cinema. Right!. .now weirdly..this does work... but if im watching virgin tv in surround..(whether live or on demand) and I pause or rewind...when I resume playing the sound is completely gone!!.. the only way to get it back is to change source on tv to hdmi 1 to hdmi 2...which then brings the home screen up for the Phillips cinema..I then switch it back to hdmi 1 ..for vigin tv and it works again..... As you ca imagine this is a pain... Obviously I must be doing something wrong. ..PLEASE HELP ITS DRIVING ME MAD!!!! THANKS in advance.
Hi. Thanks for advice unfortunately..tivo only has one hdmi slot in it and so does home cinema ...but I need those to connect to the tv.... I have changed settings as you suggested. ..but only get stereo sound...not surround..so I have changed settings back.... Do you think if I buy a couple of hdmi double adapters this would solve problem? Thanks in advance.
Another work around for you could be to connect your TiVo® to your TV via HDMI, and in a spare slot connect your home cinema to another HDMI slot on your TV. The arc HDMI slot on your TV will be the one you need to connect to the Home cinema system.
