Help! Playback stuttering to the point of unwatchable - and box generally slow

My TiVo is generally slow to respond to buttons, but the big problem is the playback; it stops/stutters and freezes every 10 seconds or so - totally unwatchable. It is not just recordings - it does it if I pause live tv too.

I've tried, the thumbs up, thumbs down, play, play thing, and I've removed the smart card. I've also rebooted lots.

Any other suggestions, or is it dying?

Welcome to the Community, I am very sorry to learn about the problems you're experiencing with your TV service at the moment.
