Freezing screen on playback

For the last 3 months I have encountered problems when watching anything that I have recorded.  The screen continually stalls or pixelates.  This week it has got so bad that I have been watching shows on ITV Hub and IPlayer on my Mac.  Very unhappy as my bundle is costing £116 a month!!! Internet and phone are working fine.  I have reset the TIVO box on many occasions, any ideas???
