Faulty TiVo info transfer

I have a faulty TiVo box and have already arranged a replacement. I noticed on here that although I will lose my recordings it is possible to keep my settings. I seldom watch live TV and only watch recordings and have 250 series links which I really don't fancy transferring manually. Please could you let me know if it is possible to somehow save these settings?

Re: Faulty TiVo info transfer

Well, 2 1/2 hours later and I am finally set up, Virgin set my activation code to the old box so that took a while. The link you sent worked (eventually) but it has saved me loads of time. Thank you so much. Had to enter all my favourite channels again, there are so many, I'm sure they could find a way of doing that too. And I've lost all the movies I recorded and couldn't watch on my old faulty box. Need a drink now. Asked the guy I spoke to about the copying thing and he said he knew about it but no-one had ever asked him. Hmmm.
