Do I have to pay for new TiVo box if it stops working?

Someone has just told me they are on a Sky high level package, but if their Sky box stops working they have to buy a new one!

Is it the same with Virgin? And does it apply to the Superhub also?

Re: Do I have to pay for new TiVo box if it stops working?

If Virgin Media kit stops working due to no fault of the customer as is normally the case, it will be fixed or replaced for no cost.

If Virgin Media kit stops working due to the fault of a customer, then there would be a cost to fix or replace it.

The specific wording on the Store page is:

^Servicing and repairs included for the whole time you're with us: Equipment remains property of Virgin Media. Sky customers own their own boxes. We rent our VHD and TiVo® boxes to you completely free. That’s why we can offer you free servicing and repairs (excluding misuse mistreatment) for as long as you’re a customer, not just your 1st 12 months.

You can see it on this page http://store.virginmedia.com/index.html at the bottom under the 'General' terms.

Thanks so much.

Don't suppose you know how I can empty the deleted programs folder?

You have to delete program manually one by one.

However, there's no need to, the programs do not contribute towards your available space and are deleted automatically when the TiVo needs the room.

But as Tavis75 says above, there is no need to delete programmes from the Deleted Folder. I have never once deleted a programme from there in four and a half years of Tivo usage.

Nice to be able to post again, after their mistake (removed by the Censorship team).
