Constant buffering on BBC iPlayer

Just tried to watch another program on the I player and have had to give up yet again what is it with the bbc iPlayer and TiVo box watch ten seconds buffer ten seconds and repeat utter utter garbage for what we are being charged

Hi Geoff,

Sounds like there is a signal issue with your box here and you would need to call our tech support team on 151 so they can run some tests on your cable, or you can await a member of the forum team to get to you over the next few days but does sound like a signal issue.

This used to be a perennial problem all over these forums and I ended up not using the bbc iplayer for years.

 

However, eventually following a lot of whinging from me, a few engineers visits, some new cables, and some attention from the boffins at hq, it seems to be sorted out.

 

So my advice is use the fault help system (on the phone or online) and  be persistent if it keeps happening.
