Connecting 2 TiVo boxes

Hi trying to connect 2 TiVo boxes so I can watch recorded programmes on both boxes. One is in my living room with the super hub. The other is in my bedroom. How do I get them to see each other using power line adaptors?
Also does the living room box plug into the super hub, power line or both. Very confused & frustrated. Website is no good and well don't even try technical on telephone. Help please!

Re: Connecting 2 TiVo boxes

Are you sure the Powerline adaptors can see each other?

You may have to check the network settings too on TiVo to ensure they can see the hub.

What you are tring works - we have the setup you describe and they can play authorised programmes from one to another with no problem.

Re: Connecting 2 TiVo boxes

Superhub>Ethernet>TiVO Box 1

Superhub>Ethernet>Powerline adaptor 1>Powerline adaptor 2>Ethernet>TiVO 2

As per the third diagram on this page: http://help.virginmedia.com/system/selfservice.controller?CMD=VIEW_ARTICLE&ARTICLE_ID=27612&CURRENT_...

Hope that makes sense.

Also, be aware that not all channels allow their recorded content to be streamed between boxes

Re: Connecting 2 TiVo boxes

Does not work! They do not see each other at all. TiVo box is connected by Ethernet cable to super hub in same room. Super hub is connected to power line by Ethernet cable.

Box 2 is connected to power line by Ethernet.

All power line lights are on but boxes fail to see each other?

Re: Connecting 2 TiVo boxes

On each TiVo   -    >Help & Settings   ->    Network   ->   Change settings   ->   Get automatically

Do this on both units.

This will check that each one can see the hub   -   once they both can see the hub   -  check  MyShows again to see if the other box has appeared.

If not reboot both boxes.
