Channel 5 and 5+1 film recording (broken image) recent weeks... Any ideas?

Can anyone help or explain why I am only having this recording problem with C5 and plus 1. Think some recordings are also only partial. Only discover when go to watch later. Been happening for a few weeks but all other channels ok as far as I can tell.

Can you provide some example titles and times?

I had a similar event last night ( Christmas Day) during "When Celebrities Go Pop" it recorded in two parts missing out a portion in the middle , so its not just you

Thanks. In my case the images were pixalate so not watchable, as well as cut short.

Sometimes Channel 5 splits films in to two parts with a 5 minute news update in the middle, so you need to make sure both parts are set to record.

Ok. They were mostly during December. All times. Several Christmas themes including:
A Christmas Star (2015) which aired on c5 23/12/2016 17.25-18.55
Also
22 Jump Street (2014) 20/12 23.05-01.05 probably C5 or plus one.
Some films I record on plus 1 if other things are preset.

The pixalation... Broken images... Has occurred on about 10 films or more that I can think of in recent weeks. Unfortunately I only notice when I go to watch. All other channels are ok as far as I know.

As the Tivo box clears down deletions other than when you have just deleted I can't be more specific and have worked these out from scrolling back.

I am wondering it it has been happening since there was an update to the Tivo recording options a few months back.

Pixelation is usually a local issue to you - otherwise if it is national everyone would see it.

You have either a disc going faulty - or more likely a signal issue which would need a call to faults to check.

If the signal is lost for a short time - you can end up with split recordings.

This is something TiVo should handle OK now

If you set Dirty Dancing to record at 9pm tonight - TiVo automatically sets the second part at 10.35pm

In each problem recording the pixilation was from the start of the recording and I checked it was throuout on a couple of them. It is a bit like you sometimes gor on old tapes.  I have now set two test recordings up (to record something I am not bothered about) for the next day or so. If they have the same problem I will call it in.....and to the suggestion about making sure both parts when split by news are set to record... Yes, I normally do.
