Cancellation of contract/compensation.

Having been a virgin media customer since July 2016 we have not had a phone line as promised, we are using our mobile phones at our cost and any one calling us are obviously being charged for calling our mobile phones instead of our house phone that we don't have!

my question is are virgin media in breach of contract and can we claim compensation for our and others mobile use? If they are in breach of contract can we cancel all virgin media services within our two year contract

have you contacted support and reported you do not have the phone line?
If not then no you can;t use it to leave you have to give chance to correct faults. If you have been told you can not get a phone line and its part of your package i'm not sure you might need to talk to citizans advice about that.

As for them paying for phone calls. No they wont do that.

Good morning and thanks for the reply. 

 

We we have contacted the company on various occasions each time they say it will get sorted out, an engineer has been out twice and both times said we can not have a phone line at this time due to the area being over subscribed. 

We have been in to our local virginmedia shop to ask about cancelling the phone line as they are still charging us for it, unfortunately the shop assistant told us we can only do that on the phone, as we don't have a virgin line it's costing a fortune just to talk to them......very frustrating!
