Can't login to http://anywhere.virginmedia.com/

Oops… Something went wrong

Unknown error occurred.

 

Is it something to do with cookies?

 

I wouldn't know where to start looking for a help guide with the myriad of help options there are.

 

Googled this:

I've just setup the TiVo box (got a new one for being a long standing customer), so that might be it.

Thanks for your post on the Community Forum. I'm sorry that you weren't able to access TV Anywhere on Friday.

 

I have been able to access your account via your Forum details and run testing to your equipment. I can see an issue with the TiVo®. I have sent new signals to the TiVo®, could you please reboot the box and let me know when that's been done?

Thanks for your help but unfortunately after resetting the TiVo and trying a different browser and different copy of windows 7 the problem persists.

 

Is there any initial configuration/ pairing of devices needed?

 

It looks like I'm in I just need to ignore the "sign in" button and it works.  I logged into the main account holder and checked the bills, then went to TV without signing in, then I tried to get a link to this post via my email (not main account) and I was told my email is locked.  So I logged out of the main account and into my email.  Not particularly user friendly but that's another matter.

None of these links help.  Closest I got to help was being told to sign in after clicking watch.  It seems you can only use the main account to use TV anywhere and only 2 devices including a PC.

 

Have not had any success signing into tv anywhere which is afterall a requirement.

 

Edit: Signing out of my email allowed me to progress to register a device!

Is it really a good idea to lock out the main account's email?  What if for example you forgot your password?

Thanks for coming back to us and sticking with us on this. 

 

As much as I'd love to be able to resolve this for you, you are going to need to follow the error message instructions and give us a call. it sounds as though the account has been locked due to you not accessing it for 90 days or longer. 

 

Once the email is no longer locked, we can then see if there is still an issue logging into TV Anywhere. 

 

Let us know how the call goes.

Its all working now.  I don't need to access the main account's email, thanks for the assistance.
