Broken recordings

Hi

I've got a Tivo box probably about 4 years old now and it's suddenly started to develop problems.

Specifically, I've noticed that recordings break up on playback and pausing live tv and then hitting play gives the same results. I'm wondering if the hard drive is failing...

Any thoughts please?

Sounds like it might be yes. Best call in for the inevitable engineer visit!

I was hoping to hold out for the new 4K Tivo box when it arrives

Checking things on your account, I can see an engineer has been out to try and resolve things for you. How have things been since the visit? Better I hope.
