Brief silence in Netflix

Listening to Netflix through Tivo  I have started over the last couple of weeks to get brief moments of silence (2 secs) every 15 mins (approx) when watching.

There is no picture impact and it isnt the Tivo box as it only occurs on Netflix through Tivo not when I am watching anything else or recordings.

Is anyone else having this issue ?

Hi bedlamcastle,

 

Try changing it over to Dolby Digital to PCM, then test a Netflix program to see if it's resolved the issue.

Can you check something for me? Press Home on the remote control and select Help and Settings, Settings, Audio, Dolby Digital and tell me what option is currently selected?

It is set to Dolby Digital and NOT Dolby Digital to PCM..

Does that help ??

I get the exact same thing happen when watching Netflix via my Amazon Fire TV Stick (I haven't used the TiVo for Netflix for a while because it's much slower to access Netflix than on the Fire).

I assumed it was some effect caused by the Fire and/or streaming over WiFi and I hadn't investigated if the same happened on my TiVo, but I'm interested see you reporting the same effect and hence perhaps it's a Netflix thing rather than a TiVo/Fire thing?

Yep, that worked... No issues now on Netflix..

Also interestingly prior to the change there was a definate dfference in volume between HD and non HD channels (HD channels were always a lot quieter) but after the change they are both the same now..

Double result
