Box totally stopped working

For the past while I have been experiencing issues with programmes which are meant to record only recording a small portion and then freezing during playback.
In the last 3 days my box then just started rebooting or shutting down by itself whilst watching a programme. This evening I tried to switch the TiVo box off for a while and back on and it won't go beyond the 'starting up' screen.
I deleted a lot of recordings at the start thinking that might help but it just kept progressively getting worse for some reason?

Hi. Mine has done the same over night. I think we had a power cut! I phoned Virgin and my hard drive is broken. New box been delivered in next 3-4 days.

Yeah I phoned them so will have an engineer out on Monday morning.
