All lights on and showing no connection

Suddenly yesterday evening, all the lights on TiVo box lit up and machine rebooted itself. This repeated a few times, with the start screen coming up briefly before beginning the reboot again and then finally all connection was lost and ever since the box just remains unresponsive but with all of the lights on the front lit up.

I have tried rebooting manually by switching the box off at the wall and called 150 for virgin to try the online checks but to no avail, am I missing something in terms of a way to restart the machine or is it a case of needing a technician?
