4K / UHD TV

Can you tell me if the Tivo 1TB box works with a 4K / UHD TV?
Also can any of the players give UHD thought to a UHD TV .
If not any one knows when I can get hold of the new V6 box and how much we it cost me?
Thanks

Re: 4K / UHD TV

A normal TiVo box works find of a 4k/UHD tv - but will not be in UHD.

We are waiting for news on when the 4k/UHD TiVo box will be available

Re: 4K / UHD TV

Hi there Telewest,

The current TiVo® boxes are not compatible with this, but we are able to announce that the V6 will be compatible.

We are only able to guarantee that this will work with Netflix and YouTube services at present.

Let me know if there is anything more that I can help with.

Take care,

Nat_J

Re: 4K / UHD TV

I have linked one of my Tivo boxes to a new UHD TV and it is working fine and the remote control works with the code to operate the sound on the TV ...
BUT some channels are not fully wide screen as I have black strips on each side of the screen ...the sound is better from HD channels too.

LOVE to get my hands on the new UHD TiVo soon as possible as a customer who has been with Virgin and Telewest for 17 years plus. ....

There are two times this can happen:

1) You're watching an SD channel showing an older 4:3 programme and either TiVo, your TV, or both are set to display this without any picture modification. In this case you can choose to change this. For TiVo to alter the display it's under Help & Settings > Settings > Video Output > Aspect Correction Mode.

2) You're watching an HD channel that's showing an older 4:3 programme. In this case the black bars are inserted by the broadcaster, and can't be altered.
