ping is bigger and jumping between 5pm and 10pm

Hi, I had an enginer in my house more than 1week ago and he changed my modem and router to different one, and it helped I had normal ping but unfortunetely between 5pm and 10pm my ping was higher and it was jumping, also my jitter was higher. I didnt download anything so I dont know why my ping between this time is different here are screens:

Hi scerry,

I have checked your local chassis (router) and can see that there are periods of high load which will cause your speed to slow. If this load continues to increase this will be passed to our network teams to look at ways to alleviate some of the load. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing you.

Allow me to translate for you. While we can see your connection would be considered atrocious performance for the average user, it has not yet reached our thresholds to perform an upgrade. We will wait until many more customers in your area complain at which point we will start giving out 'estimated fix dates'. These dates will be numerous and serve no purpose other than to placate you and hope you keep paying each month.

I have this problem for while, and on saturday and sunday my ping was horible I coudnt play any online games

Hi scerry,

Although there are some spikes in the utilisation on the network segment your modem is connected to these do not last for a prolonged period of time and usually revert back to a normal level within minutes. Also these spikes only seem to occur very rarely. This means we are unable to escalate the issue for priority maintenance. However should this load increase we will pass it to the network teams to resolve.

Could you please post a traceroute to the servers you are having issues with. Also could you post the modem power levels from the configuration pages.

Today (Monday) my ping from 6pm are really high, its almost not possible to play online games my ping are jumping all the time Im paying so much for this internet where I cant even play online games!!! Im waiting for few weeks for fix

Hi scerry,

I have checked the usage stats on your modem and you were traffic managed shortly after those pingtests were carried out. This would suggest that yourself or someone connected to your internet connection could possibly have been using your bandwidth which caused your pings to increase. Do you use a wireless router? Is the network secure?

Also power levels can be obtained from all of our modems except the old Tailfin Modem provided by NTL). Simply visit http://192.168.100.1 to access the modem configuration pages.

well I have password to my router and anyway few weeks ago technician changed me superhub to another modem with router so I dont think so someone is connected to my router, Im paying £30 for my internet where I cant play between 5pm to 10pm its happening only on peek time so quality of my broadband isnt good..
