Hi All,
From reading these forums and various other places around the net it seems I am not alone in having an extremely poor connection between the hours of 17:00 - 0:00/01:00 and pretty much all day at weekends.
I cannot watch more than a few seconds of a YouTube video, online gaming is impossible with huge lag spikes, and sometimes web pages will not load at all.
I have to say the service has been perfect up until about 1.5 weeks ago, I am in the SK8 area if that makes any odds, although this problem appears to be affecting people all over the country. It still is perfect all day long until what I can only guess is the masses getting home from school/work and jumping online.
I've had the day off work today so have done some speedtests where I can to try and show the pattern, you can see the time I ran the tests in the top right corner of each image:

As you can see the speeds are really stable and fast during the day, but after 17:00 it is literally all over the place and that is the time when I am home from work and want to use the connection most. Today was actually a good day, over the weekend the speeds would drop under 1MB/s for most of the time.
My question is, is there anything that can be done? I don't mind being paitient if infastructure is being upgraded or planned to be upgraded as long as you guys are aware of the situation and are doing something about it. I don't mind if speeds drop during heavy usage hours, the thing I do mind is the unstableness of the connection, particularly for online gaming, it really is unusable for this in its current state.
Sorry for the long post I just wanted to give as much information as I could, I will also reply below with my router stats.
Thanks for reading.

JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA THIS IS A SHAME.
They will tell you not is because you are downloading a lot etc... and is not so.
And not even the hours are correct, because they limit my connexion between 17:00 and 01:00 believe it mate... I'm so fed up of this they could be the best company but for this they are not, and a lot of people are very sad of this we are in overclockers.co.uk talking about it.

Hi andy78,
I've checked the overall connection, both locally and regionally and have found nothing currently. However, as you mention the problem occurs after 5pm, I will check then and report back to you.
Kind Regards,
Patrick
