Hello forum
New Virginmedia customer connected up yesterday. To start with everything going fab. Superhub up and running in lounge getting ~31Mbps down and ~ 3.10Mbps up on both ethernet and wireless (Macbook pro in same room). Ethernet connected PS3 and Apple TV and both working great as well. I was most impressed...... until today
Was about to connect long ethernet to upstairs computer room when I noticed no wireless connection to Superhub from anything mobile (Macbook, iMac, iphone, kids androids). Logged on to Superhub via ethernet and noticed in the advanced settings there was no wireless setup option in menu - In setup it just has 'home' and 'basic settings'. Also on the page before this with the three big red icons the wirless was not greyed out but clicking it did nothing. Interestingly, clicking the big connection status icon rebooted the hub. The wireless light on the hub is lit.
Have tried multiple factory resets, disconnecting everything, switching modem mode on then off... you name it.
Have reconnected everything and then ethernet to Airport extreme upstairs and using its wireless. Had to fiddle with channels but now ok round house but only ~ 15-18Mbps from wireless even next to Airport extreme (iphone on ~3.5Mbps - why is that!). Still maxed out on ethernet which is good.
So... what have I done or is it broken?
One other question - will wake from sleep still work if I'm not using the Airport extreme as the hub (ie it's in Bridge mode).
Thanks in advance.

Good luck - I have a similar problem with Airport Express. It was fine until about three weeks ago and now it loses connection everytime my PC sleeps. Virgin cannot solve this.

Hi Vortexman,
I can see that a new hub has since been ordered for you, can you please let us know if this resolves your issue?

Had the superhub delivered on the 10th Feb and it worked brilliantly, suddenly, yesterday, no or very weak wireless. Tried re-setting etc., even moved the laptop next to the hub, still no wireless connection. The wired connection works ok.
Any ideas,
regards,lapper

Hi lapper,
sorry you've been experiencing problems with the wireless connection.
Can you confirm if you have tried a pinhole reset? If not, just hold in the reset button on the side opposite to the three lights for 30 seconds until the lights go blue simultaneously and then release the button and let it reboot.
If you have not already done so please check the wireless advice advise posted here
Please let us know how you get on.

Hi i have over the last week had problems where i could not connect wireless to the Super Hub. In fact first thing this morning it did it. What i did was connect via hard wire (ethernet) and go to the Superhubs settings. Then tell it to reset.
Then i set wireless as followed... went to advanced settings.
changed 802.11 mode to 145Mbps
changed Security Mode to WPA2-PSK[AES]
After that my wireless came back, for me sometimes the router resets to default and changes Security Mode to Auto which is when my wireless devices cant see the Superhub... That worked for me so see if it helps you.
