SuperHub connectivity?

Hi, I recently upgraded to 50meg with the Superhub.  I am experiencing two minor niggles, both of which can be solved by rebooting the Superhub but should I have to?

I am unable to get into the hub's configuaration page (unless I reboot the hub)

There are 2 iphones that every couple of days lose wireless connection, again rebooting the hub solves this.

With my previous 20meg and D link router there was never a problem.

Anyone any ideas?

TIA

Chrions

Re: SuperHub connectivity?

Hi chrions,

Change the hubs wireless mode down to 145Mbps and increase the DHCP lease time.

That usually works.

Re: SuperHub connectivity?

Thanks guys, much appreciated.

I've made the changes; will have to see if they work for me.

Will report back if they do not

Re: SuperHub connectivity?

[ Edited ]

The plan was to report back in 7 days, hopefully to say that everything was fine.

Well, access to the router setup has been and still is fine; looks like that problem is solved.

Unfortuntely the 2 iphones lost conection today and I had to reboot the superhub :smileysad:

1 out of 2 isn't that bad though.  Still searching for a solution to the iphones.

Just in case anyone else happens across this thread, does anyone know of an email address that I can use to report this.  The only online form on the VM website that I can see is to change your package.  All attempts to contact to report my problems are met with a 'please phone this number'!

Thanks again

Chris

I ought to have said that I had made the changes suggested above ... thanks :smileyhappy:

Re: SuperHub connectivity?

Not sure of a contact email address chrions, but never tried one, this is the best place to get info, it might take a few days to sort things out but usually problems are solved.

We have 3 iPhones and all connect ok. I have them setup with static Ip's along with the laptops and Xbox and Wii. That way I can keep an eye on which of my kids is stealing the bandwidth:smileyhappy: That could be something worth setting up if you have'nt already.

Re: SuperHub connectivity?

Thanks Bri_G

I just prefer to contact via email; have it in writting then, so to speak.

The iphones here didn't have any problems until the superhub update.

But you are quite right, this is the right place to get answers.
