Hello, I'm based in Essex with a 50MB download speed!
A few weeks ago my internet was terrible, it was slow and unresponsive, before this it was around 7MB/s download speed on game sites such as Steam, Origin and just general downloads, it then fell to around 4MB/s and stayed there, I could cope with that as annoying as it was, however, now it has once again dropped to around 2MB/s - 0MB/s and it's very annoying, I was just wondering what could be causing it and are there any fixes?
It's like this on multiple download sites, on all 4 of my families computers and I have tried simple things like resetting my router with no success.
Thankyou to anyone who has any useful infomation in advance!
Oh yeah! Forgot this : http://www.speedtest.net/result/1955956828.png (That ain't no 50MB)

What is it you want from it? The power levels? (Sorry, I'm really not that computer savvy and am not too sure what you want me to post) or do you want me to post ALL of it?
Many thanks!

thanks
your downstream power levels are too low, -3 is said to be about the minimum - have seen them below that and all ok but if you have a problem thats the first thing to get sorted - you need an engineer
you can wait here for a VM staff member to look at the thread - that can take 3 to 5 days - or you can ring and get an enginner booked

Ok, I'll wait for someone to take a look on here, I'm way too busy at this moment in time and I've heard pretty bad things about phoning Virgin up for technical advice!
Anyway, thankyou for telling me what needs to be looked at! You've been great at helping me ![]()

That's the trusty old VMNG300.
Your downstream power levels are too low and would need a tech out to adjust. Either ring in or wait here 3-5 days for VM support to get to you.
NB everytime anyone posts in this thread you go to the bottom of the queue for a reply.
