High Jitter Gaming Problems 50 Mb

[ Edited ]

Totally Frustrated ,reading forums trying to find a solution but there is similar issues but no direct answer.

Started last thursday night after a sudden brake down on the internet at 01:00 AM respectively.

I have tried it on wireless ,wired router restarts and all the general way of repairing it ,didnt work out.

I called VM 3 times ,at one point they said there is a problem on the server ,then claimed that there is no problem on their end..

The truth which i couldnt explain the people on the phone(i have to say that there is people on there which do not understand what Jitter is ,how are they suppose to help me in advanced problems?)is that my DL speed is good but my upload speed doesnt pass 1.5 mb..and when you come to the more dramatic part .

The Ping is cathastrophic..High packet loss and high Jitter whenever i use the PC i doesnt get better.I believe there is  a problem with the HUB or from VM side.

With this high jitter and ustable internet GAMING is impossible which is the only reason i switch to this 50 mb and VM.

I am not happy with the support coming from the phone end and wanted to try forums out.I hope this will be fixed soon since i am tired of small inquries happening every now and then..

Hope to hear from you soon ,

Best

Loverclad

The Maidenhead server is terrible, I always get bad stats from it, try London or MK.

Each time you post to your thread, you 'bump' it - to the end of the qeue. Threads are replied to after 4ish days atm and everytime you respond you put yourself to the back. Either wait for a repsonse - or call the helpdesk.

Sorry :/

And I really do mean the sorry as I am having the same problems with no resolution yet after 2 weeks...

Re: High Jitter Gaming Problems 50 Mb

Hi Loverclad,

I have identified an issue with the configuration of the network segment you are connected to which is causing very high utilisation on your upstream channel. I have passed this to our network teams to investigate and will post a reference number here as soon as I receive it.
