Did you put the spoofed MAC address in the "Specify a MAC address" field? And if so, does that field not have to be selected?

Originaly yes.

but ive since update the FW and reset a couple of times.

Im sure the reason the router was not getting an external IP was due to the ammount of kit that thad been plugged in with in such a short period of time.

the install engineer tested it with his laptop.

It was then plugged directly into my PC (and speeds were tat)

Tested with a laptop (speeds still tat)

i might be mistaken....

easy way to test mind you.

find the mac address of yuor PC that does connect

(open CMD and run IPCONFIG /all)

copy MAC address to router.

Ok, I spoofed the MAC address of the D-Link router on the Vigor and it's worked a treat. Many thanks for your advice

Happy that you got it sorted.

Re: Draytek Vigor 2110n router - can't connect to the internet

Had to reboot the router this morning to tidy the cabling, and when it came back up it wouldn't connect. Tried phoning Virgin - what a mistake that was. 3 x calls to their Indian call centre and an hour and a half later I had had two hang up on me and one being very rude.

Am now back to using the D-Link for now :smileysad:

Re: Draytek Vigor 2110n router - can't connect to the internet

I have a Draytek 2820 and it works fine. Initial problems were a little like this. Power cycle the cable modem (wait 30s or so with it off) as people told me it remembers the MAC address of the last thing connected. After I did that it all worked perfectly. I do not spoof the mac address. Let me know if you want any other help with settings.
