Problems being disconnected through tinet.net

This is happening on a regular basis over the last few days.

Today it was down from 1am to 5am (when I went to bed) but fine all day from 11am through till about 20:25 this evening.

The rest of the internet s fine for me but several other people (not with Virgin) say they can access the site with no difficulties.

Tracert to go2.igg.com [63.251.251.190] (the game that hangs) shows very slow times and sometimes time outs to:

 ae1.lon25.ip4.tinet.net [77.67.65.161]
 xe-2-2-0.pao10.ip4.tinet.net [141.136.109.94]
 internap-gw.ip4.tinet.net [77.67.77.46]

Pinging go2.igg.com gives time out about 3 in 4 pings during the period I am  having issues.

Re: Problems being disconnected through tinet.net

[ Edited ]

OK it happened again.

Last night it was unusable for more than 20 seconds at a time, about once every three minutes.

About 4am it started working better, working for 4 or 5 mins at a time then became horrible again about 6am.

I came back about midday and it was fine, flying, fast and reliable until I left about 18:00 all was well.

I return just past 20:30 and again it is now unusable.

Typical ping selection.

ping go2.igg.com -t

All the time I am getting 100% reliable access to other sites. IGG say there is nothing wrong at their end and no one else in the game has any issues connecting.

Re: Problems being disconnected through tinet.net

Hi LEP,

I've taken a look at your connection and couldn't find any problems here either. Power levels, SNR and utilisation are all perfectly fine. Could you try a traceroute as well as the ping above. The ping times are pretty huge there but a traceroute would show us where the drops and high pings are occuring.

Re: Problems being disconnected through tinet.net

Hi.No problems tonight! Woot.

I had problems 20:30ish to 04:30ish Sunday - Thursday nights this week.

Now Friday night it is all fine again.

I had some issues about 4:30-6:30am but not as bad as above times.

6:30am - 20:30am every thing worked nice and fast each day.

I can post Tracert if the problems occurs again. I am suspecting at 20:30 Sunday night...

Re: Problems being disconnected through tinet.net

Hi LEP,

I've checked your connection and everything is still showing fine. From the traceroutes above the issue seems to be happening at the other end, off our network. Have you contacted the guys who run the servers to see if there are any known issues?

As a work around you can try popping the superhub in modem mode which will change your WAN IP and so change the route you take to those servers. Won't necessarily work but worth a try!
