virgin broadband intermitant fault also virgin number fault (150 & 08454541111)

Virgin broadband is up and down in my area in newcastle upon tyne.  I have tried calling the 150 and the 08454541111 numbers but constantly engaged or it says there is a fault on the line!!!!!  How irratating this is as I am trying to get onto my website and cannot access it HELP!!!
