hi i would just like some one to clear this up for me please.
what are the peak times?
on the website it says 4pm-9pm is this correct?
if so why can i only get 2meg on a 10 meg line at 11pm?
i rung them up and they said i have been capped but should be ok after 9pm .but im not then spoke to someone else and they said i wouldnt be able to get good speed untill tomorow afternoon but will get capped again after downloading 1.5gig before 11.
as you can tell this is quite confusing.(or is it just me?)
so can i down load after 9 or 11pm and should the cap wear off at a certain time if i go over during peak times,or not?
sorry if im being stupid but it is annoying.
thanks in advance

Hi
I'm new to the forums for the same reason.
I've started to watch a lot of video content online and have been getting capped at 2.3meg instead of getting 10. Going by virgins own statement for evening it's between 4pm-9pm you get capped for 5 hours
An example of how this works is that if a broadband Size: L customer downloaded 1500MB of data between 4pm and 9pm, their download speed would be temporarily set to up to 2.5Mb and their upload speed to up to 128Kb for 5 hours.
So it's 10mins after midnight and I'm still sitting at 2.3meg. Why are not not more clear on what's going on virgin??

Ah okay just been thinking, maybe what happens is if you hit the 1500mb say at 8pm at night then the 5 hours starts from then so it won't end until 1am.... I'm staying up all night anyways so will check around 230am and post back what my speed is at

Just checked my speed and I'm back up to normal

thats what i thought.
i would have thought that when the peak times ended it would go back normal ,but no. i have to wait for 5 hours.
its almost like a punishment .its not a really big problem just 1.5gig isnt alot for me,but i guess i will have to wait until after 9 from now on
anyways thanks for the reply's
