Hello
Recently I had my my friends Virgin broadband account cancelled as he wasn't living here anymore and got my own account set up. The technician came by today and installed the router and set me up no problem. Before he arrived we were on my friends virgin account playing on xbox live no problems at all, but as soon as the new account was set up I am now unable to connect to Xbox live.
The xbox is currently connected via Ethernet to the Virgin router and it says that it can find the internet, just not the Xbox live side of things. I ran a 'test connection' and it said that " Your console is connected to the internet but can't contact xbox live, your router or ISP may be blocking access to Xbox LIVE ... etc"
It mentioned ports which we tried to no luck.
Somewhere mentioned UPnP which we tried as on and off, but to no luck.
So yeh, I kinda need some help on this one.
Sorry if this is the wrong forum or anything.. kinda new.
Thanks!
Sam

Was just about to write the very post.
I have exactly the same problem. Started this morning whilst i was playing.
Some people have said xbox is down but my 5 or so friends still online proves otherwise.
EDIT: Mine is actually back on now and i havent done anything so just keep trying until more help is available i guess
