Dunno. Seeing your modem stats and event log might help together with a tracert to bbc.co.uk. Can't guarantee we could fathom it out then - but that's normally where we start.
Also some more info about what you're seeing would help too.
Did this just happen or is there a time of day when this happens?
Is it download speed only you're concerned with here?
Can any of this be correlated with weather, particularly rain?

My previous thread had the relevant info I think. I managed to catch the eye of a support fellow, but I couldn't keep him interested.
Tonight we're running at 1.5mbit...
edit: my mistake, currently 0.77mbit. I think tomorrow is Plusnet day!

I'm trying to help you in this thread and your latest stats, event log, tracert and the answers to my questions would be nice.
You've gone to the bother of writing this thread, I certainly don't want to have to switch between threads. I hope I'm coming across as reasonable and trying to help.

Questions:
> Did this just happen or is there a time of day when this happens?
The speed does fluctuate, generally between 4mbit and 7mbit. The worst I've seen was this evening with 1.5mbit/0.77mbit on a couple of tests.
>Is it download speed only you're concerned with here?
As in, am I seeing issues on the upstream? No, the upstream seems relatively stable at 0.6mbit or so.
> Can any of this be correlated with weather, particularly rain?
Nope, I don't think so. I've also seen similarly low speeds at 1a.m., so it's not purely a traffic issue.
Thanks for your help.
