I have become increasingly dissatisfied with the broadband service I am getting and thought I'd add my comments to this burgeoning forum. As alot of people appear to be having, we now seem to have entered an age of there being "too many" people trying to use Virgins broadband service meaning no one gets any. The service which apparently isn't affected by the same issues as ADSL is stuttering to a halt! Back in February I noticed that my speeds were becoming non-existent after about 5pm in the evening. I was told that this was a known issue but would not be resolved until 20th April. This stuck in my throat but what could I do, I managed to get a credit for the inconvenience and I struggled along with it. Come 20th April things seemed to calm down a bit and all seemed fine, if not the 10mb I am signed up for. However, I am again finding that I have speeds that dial-up could beat come around 8pm. I've had issues with Virgin on a couple of things in the past and now, with my broadband service only being any good when I'm not home, I'm definately considering leaving. Even knowing that in the short-term I will be out of pocket is starting to not feel like such a big problem.
