Using my own router with Virgin Media Broadband, is this setup possible?

Hi there, not so great with all the jargon on here so was just wondering whether I'll be able to use my own D-Link DGL-4300 (or better router - suggestions welcome) with my Virgin Media Cable broadband, is it a case of simply swapping over the cables? The router virgin media gave us is rubbish, especially the wireless signal, I pick up more signal from the person living 2 doors down then my own one!

Hi CLAY_JoE,

You can connect any cable broadband router to our modems.

All you will need to do is connect the Ethernet cable from the modem to the Ethernet port on the router then restart both the router and the modem.

James Gilbert
