Once again, the Internet service offerered from Virgin Media is totally inadequate for today's requirements.
I find myself unable to load even the most simplest of web pages as the 'super fast fibre optic broadband' is unable to cope with the capacity required by the city of Brighton.
Below is a sample ping for bbc.co.uk with a 45% packet loss and a maximum response time of 930ms. This is a good day, yesterday it was 55% packet loss! I am on UBR17.
I find my mobile phone GSM connection (not 3G) gives a more consistent connection then this.
Looking at the support forum, this is a continued problem across sections of the VM network and one I have personally experienced off and on for a few years now.
Can you please advise when these problems caused by the high demand on my UBR will be resolved?
I have been a VM customer for many years, and am beginning to feel that the inability of VM's network to handle the demand of traffic over it will never be resolved.
Please can you log this complaint and a request customer service to call me back to discuss this further.
Regards
James

Hi Moose247
The UBR which handles your connection is currently suffering from very high utilisation, particularly at peak times. This has been raised to our network teams under reference F001736598. Work to resolve this issue is currently scheduled to take place on 28-MAR-2012 (although this may be subject to change).
We're very sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
