Hello all,
I have been on the XL Broadband for a good few months now and have been very happy with my speed/connection. However, the big problem is a certain VMDG280 router. It churns out below par wireless speeds and has a slightly weaker than desired signal strength. This has become an increasingly more apparent problem as my only form of connection is over the wireless. Being an avid gamer, playing wireless is never ideal, but the router cannot even handle putting my PS3 in DMZ!
So to my question: With the chance to 'upgrade' to 30Mbs and obtain a Super Hub, should I? Can i expect better performance over wireless? Can anyone on 50Mbs tell me of the Super Hub's performance?
On a related note, I presume that all I will pay to 'upgrade' is a one off £30 payment?
Thanks.

stay well away from the 'superhubs' plenty of forum hits tell you haw bad they are. if you think your current router is bad.. then geta super hub. they are aweful until VM do something like a firmware upgrade stay away is my advice

SuperHub certainly does work with PortFowarding and DMZ. I have used both myself
The SuperHub is VMDG480, not the 280. The SuperHub is a decent bit of kit
