Speed not doubled?

[ Edited ]

Hi, according to this site - http://doublespeed.virginmedia.com/ - when I enter my post code in it says.

"Congratulations! The new double speed boosts are already up and running in your area."

However when I run a speed test it still gives me the same speed (30mb).

 I've also restarted my router.

Re: Speed not doubled?

type in 192.168.0.1 into your URL. Then at the top right click on router status. Post what you see in downstream and operation configuration.

Re: Speed not doubled?

I believe your modem is only set to 30mb download speed. "Max Traffic Rate 33330000 bps"

Re: Speed not doubled?

If you should now be on 60mb it apppears you're modem is only set to 31mb. In other words you aren't upgraded to 60mb

Re: Speed not doubled?

Oh, even thought it says it's up in my area? I guess I'll wait a few days and hope Virgin does something on their side.

Re: Speed not doubled?

Well basically virgin media haven't upgraded you. If it says you're been upgraded there appears to be a mistake and you should call them. Let me know how it goes.

Re: Speed not doubled?

Just give them a quick ring. If it says on my virgin media that you've been upgraded you should call them.

Re: Speed not doubled?

My area was upgraded at the end of July but I received the upgrade about a week and a half early. If you should now be on 60mb there is possibly a fault with your upgrade.
