Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me why I may be getting unstable Internet connection when web browsing with high ping rates in B8 birmingham area? Can't play anything on xbox 360 or on pc for online gaming - we used to get really low pings then about 1 hour or so it starts jumping all over the places also get connection lost.
More info here
Since we on 10mbs I don't mind if they half that to sort the problem out ...I called them 3X times to get it fixed but there response is "Thats the best we could do" something along those lines.
Any help would be good.
Cheers,

Hi
i can see your upstream power levels are too low and need raising by a local engineer
you have 2 options
1) call 150 (free from a vm landline) option 2,3,2 or from any other phone 08454541111 (call charges may apply)
or
2) wait here for approx 2-4 days for a member of staff to reply
Thanks

Hi Pcstress,
I have just checked your connection and network segment. Everything appears to be OK at present but I found there was a recent issue with low signal levels and packet loss that would of been the primary cause of your issue (the upstream power on your connection was also too low but that now seems to be fine). This issue is now resolved and closed and it was under reference F001934510.
If you are still experiencing difficulties then please re-post with the information described here taken at the time, together with traceroutes to bbc.co.uk (no WWW) and any other sites which are causing you problems.
Sorry for inconvenience
